Project Description:
The Covenant House tutoring program allows volunteers to work one-on-one with our youth to empower, support, and encourage our youth to continue to strive and meet their academic goals. The youth that participate in the tutoring program come to the Covenant House Education Department with hope of a fresh start and a new way to approach learning. Some youth left traditional forms of education because their needs were not met while others may need extra support with beginning college classes for the first time. To address these needs, the Education Department is in need of qualified and caring volunteers that have a genuine passion to help our youth in their academic endeavors and a desire to be a role model our youth can look to for guidance.
