Project Description:
With constant leadership and support from a Kidpower instructor, volunteers will help third graders practice Kidpower 'People Safety' skills for having safe, positive experiences with people everywhere they go: at school, at home, and out in the world. The Kidpower approach to learning People Safety skills is positive, practical,and active. The workshop is designed to be fun and to build confidence -- there's usually lots of laughter! Volunteers stay together and always have immediate leadership from the Kidpower instructor and the classroom teacher, who are both there helping you the whole time. Through this project, you'll help students learn simple skills in just a few minutes that they can use for the rest of their lives to have more fun and fewer safety problems with people! Special Skills or Tools Required:
Volunteers need no special skills or experience, just an interest in having a good time while helping children learn valuable life skills. Clothes are tidy casual.
