Project Description:
ABOUT US: Building Opportunities for Self-Sufficiency (BOSS) is a 37-year old East Bay nonprofit organization that is dedicated to lifting families and individuals out of homelessness. BOSS provides housing and services to help people address serious challenges such as mental illness, addiction, illiteracy, social isolation, and domestic violence so they can achieve independent living. PROJECT: At our largest shelter in West Berkeley, we have many old paper charts and case files that we want to get scanned into the computer. This will give us the capacity to more easily review and tally past data and outcomes, bringing us into the 21st century technologically! It will enhance our ability to scan past records as needed to serve clients, and to more quickly and accurately respond to information requests from the community. As many hours as volunteers can spare would be appreciated!
