We shelter homeless men, women and children at 63 local congregations regionwide between October and April throughout the San Diego region, and we operate a transitional housing program for homeless battered women with children in an 11 unit apartment site in central San Diego, which accepts referrals from all over the region. Both programs provide case management and transportation. Our transitional housing participants also participate in individual and group therapy, receive assistance for job related education programs, child care assistance as needed, preparation of a family budget. Shelter guests attend career planning and budgeting workshops on Saturday mornings.
